Claire Zinnecker Design is an award winning full service commercial and residential interior design company. We offer creative and concept direction, drawings and renderings, sourcing and procurement, project management and construction administration which includes full service installation as well as custom furniture and fixture design. We also offer exterior / landscape design, as well as branding consultation to help create a cohesive look to your finished product. We are located in Austin, Texas and travel all over the states and beyond to work with clients.

Meet Claire Zinnecker
Claire Marie Zinnecker is the founder of Claire Zinnecker Design, a boutique interior design group based in Austin, TX. Claire is a firm believer that every space tells a story. Her unique style paired with her passion for clean, affordable design has become her design aesthetic’s trademark. Claire holds a BS in Interior Design from the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Architecture.
She has since worked with some of Austin’s prominent designers, completing residential and commercial projects including some of the most popular bars and restaurants in Austin. Claire founded Claire Zinnecker Design in 2013 in order to combine her passions for residential and commercial interiors with her love for designing and making furniture, lighting and accessories.
Claire’s work has been on the cover of Luxe Magazine, Country Living and Austin Way Magazine. Her work has also been featured in Architectural Digest, Wall Street Journal, Domino, Dezeen, Dwell, House Beautiful, Real Simple. Also to note, Claire was the host and designer of NBC Universal Kids TV show, Get Out of My Room, and on Magnolia Home’s series, In With the Old.

Claire was so wonderful to speak with and extremely helpful with tips and suggestions for all facets of my project. It's actually amazing how much you can accomplish in the allotted timeframe; not to mention the helpful follow-up product links and summary of the consultation. I ended up booking another meeting with Claire to jump into more elements of our project(s).... and definitely hope to get more time with her in the future!
There are so many micro decisions to make along the way and having Claire there to guide us in both the big decisions in the beginning (design, architecture, flow of space, cabinets, paint colors, etc.) all the way down to the tiny decisions like baseboard and trim, exact cabinet hardware, how to deal with an awkward corner, etc. was so invaluable. Our kitchen turned out better than I could have ever imagined when we started the project and I'm so grateful for Claire's patience (it was a long process!) and attention throughout.
We have had the pleasure of working with Claire on several projects and are always so impressed with her professionalism, attention to detail and positive attitude. As a designer, her work is fresh and modern, and incorporates beautiful detailing. Would highly recommend working with her!

Claire is such a rockstar! She totally rolled with my stream of conscious thoughts, and managed to provide really helpful recommendations for two rooms AND the exterior of our house all in an hour. She was able to really convey those little details that elevate a house from a place with nice furniture to a home that is well designed, including factoring in our specific needs (I.e., kid friendly).
Claire was amazing! Her suggestions were exactly what I wanted but was unable to create myself. I'd recommend this to anyone needing a fresh set of eyes on their space.
I have used Claire for 3 big projects now (2 residential and 1 commercial) and I absolutely love working with her, and the design is always incredible and exactly what I wanted. She truly cares about your project and does everything in her power to make sure it comes together properly, whether that’s monitoring the tile installation quality or following up endlessly with vendors. Her dedication and industry knowledge are top notch, and there’s no one else I would work with. It’s fun to work with her, too!
Claire was amazing! In our 1 hour zoom she was able to address every issue. She suggested pieces and colors that not only flowed with the existing design but tied everything together. She is so friendly and easy to talk to. What I was most impressed with was how she could go right to what she was looking for and it would be exactly what I had been wanting but unable to create myself. I'm so happy I did this and would recommend to anyone needing fresh eyes in their space or just starting.
This is my second Expert session with Claire and just wow! Each session feels like a Matrix style download of all of her awesome pearls of wisdom. We even get to my "we won't have time, but I wonder what she thinks about X, Y, and Z" questions. I don't just leave our sessions informed, but also feeling very encouraged about how to realize our goals for our home. I plan to continue meeting with Claire throughout our reno and love the Expert!
It has always been wonderful working with Claire. She designed my salon remodel, as well as the most recent new build location. She has also designed various projects in my personal home and each experience is better than the last. As her team has grown I still get the same personal touch I did when it was just Claire—although now you feel like you have a team of people all supporting you to reach your goals.
The renderings were almost exactly like the final product. I am a very visual person and it was so nice to be able to see the space as it would be even before completion. Additionally, I have always appreciated that she can help me decide where to spend my budget for the greatest impact and then where we could pull back without compromising the overall aesthetic. Claire can read my mind and is always able to translate my vision in to a reality. Now I am able to step into a physical representation of my dreams every day thanks to Claire and her team!
